So, I've been putting off making a post, or a comment, or really an announcement of any kind for a little longer than I maybe should have. The truth of the matter is that I was hoping to get my head around things before I shared anything, and I'm not sure I'm 100% there yet. However, I've been reminded a lot lately that "sharing means caring"... so, I would like to share some news. We are surprised and happy to announce that our family is just shy of 24 weeks away from welcoming a new precious baby into our family. I know it will be less than that as this will be the forth C-section, and with our history it might even been sooner than that, but we're nearly 17 weeks into this thing and we're committed and we're feeling like things are going to be okay. :)
If you know me at all, you know that surprises are not my thing. At all. In the least. In fact, I am probably the worlds most immature person when it comes to a surprise. It's that bad. So, the first thing I'm learning in all of this is to trust more in the Lord than in myself. Also, I'm learning to slow way down and enjoy the simple things that life brings to one who lives in the slow lane. And I'm learning to rely on others a lot more than I ever thought I would. So, good for me, fun for my kids, bad for my friends. If I have any friends left at the end of this, it will be a miracle.
Anyway, are you surprised? Me too. :) In a week or two we'll be able to share the gender. This is a big deal as this baby will be the tiebreaker, so you can just imagine the tension around our house as we wait. Some have suggested that it might be fun to wait and see... however, those people need to refer back to my comments regarding my feelings about surprises. So, I'll let you know. Possibly in a timely fashion. Here's hoping.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What a lucky little baby to be coming into your family!!!! Prayers are going out to you for this and your new house;) Love and miss you!!!
Congratulations!!! I'm not a surprise person either so I can both sympathize and relate! Things haven't gone the way I "planned" for us in the past couple years and my Dad told me, "If you ever want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!" There is some wisdom there. I know you are up to the challenge and am looking forward to hearing about the tie breaker! Best Wishes!
Congratulations guys! I don't know how you do it!! Hope the pregnancy isn't too rough for you xxx
